The purpose of this
web site is to not only preserve the history of 161
Recce Flt and 161 Recce Sqn, but also to provide an
insight into the function of the 161 Recce
The web site also
provides an avenue for those who have served in the Recce
Flight or the Squadron to maintain contact with
those they served with and the opportunity to
follow the progress of the current 161 Recce Sqn.
recent addition to the web site is the inclusion of
information relating to the Museum of Australian Army
Flying (MAAF). The
aim is to promote the MAAF and to highlight the strong
association between the 161 Recce Assoc and the
the 161 Collection are currently on display in the
Museum, along with samples of all the aircraft that
the Flight operated in Vietnam. Eventually, all
of the 161 History and Collection will be held and
displayed in the Museum.
Whilst all care has
been taken to ensure that the information contained in
